CLARK – Students from San Martin Elementary School in Bamban, Tarlac started the new school year with essential school supplies donated by employees at Travel + Leisure Co., the world’s leading membership and leisure travel company.
The donation, which includes items such as pencils, notebooks, crayons, art materials, and folders, aims to support the educational needs of the students as classes begin. In addition to school supplies, the company also provided cleaning materials like brooms, dust pans, detergents, and a printer for the school.
The students are expected to benefit significantly from this donation – particularly the slippers, as many students currently attend school barefoot.
“Our company is deeply committed to supporting local communities, especially indigenous Aeta students. Our associates donated their own resources and time towards this initiative in a demonstration of the spirit of volunteerism within our organization. This charitable effort was made possible through a fundraising activity initiated by Travel + Leisure Co. employees in Clark. The company is committed to support indigenous Aeta communities and has various charity and environmental projects in communities with indigenous populations. Additionally, all employees are given a Wish Day, a dedicated paid leave to use for volunteering activities.
