Weeklong anti-crime drive yields 500 law violators, P2M drugs

CAMP OLIVAS – The PRO3 anti-crime drive from December 13 to 19 resulted in the arrest of 495 individuals including wanted persons.

Of the 495 arrested, 149 persons have standing warrants of arrest, 33 with strings of warrants for murder, rape, and frustrated murder, 162 were accosted for illegal gambling, 136 for illegal drugs, and 15 were apprehended for violating local ordinances and other special laws.

Meanwhile, 341 plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 159.39 grams worth P1,083,845.20; 57 sachets of marijuana weighing 3,048.09 grams amounting to P455,770.80; eight assorted loose firearms; and bet money amounting to P39,642 were seized.

“We will keep on invigorating our efforts targeting lawless elements to ensure our communities are safer and more secure,” said PRO3 Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay.
