
SAN SIMON, Pampanga – As floods subside brought by the onslaught of the recent tropical storms in the country, Yokohama Tire Philippines, Inc. (YTPI) conducted a relief operation in Barangays Sto. Nino and San Agustin in San Simon on August 13, 2025.


Spearheaded by Masatsugu Nishimon, Executive Vice President for Administration; Corporate Social Responsibility Team, led by Geraldine Bautista, Corp. Planning and Business Ops. Department Manager; alongside employee-volunteers, personally distributed donations to the typhoon victims, in coordination with San Simon Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (NDDRMO).


Responding to their aid, a total of 86 families who are still at the evacuation centers received relief goods consisting of their basic needs and food packs including canned goods, instant noodles, bread, milk, and rice, providing enough sustenance amidst this challenging time.


As shared by the evacuees, they are expected to stay at the facility for several months given the devastation caused by floodwater in their homes. Filled with deep gratitude, they expressed their appreciation to the YTPI Team and were delighted to receive the generous donations.


As part of the various initiatives under “Yokohama Cares”, YTPI continues to work responsibly and persistently, extending its reach to give valuable assistance for the local community.
