IBA, Zambales — Provincial officials and security forces reaffirmed Zambales’ State of Stable Internal Peace and Security (SSIPS) and signed the Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Center Operation Plan “Sanib Pwersa” during a joint attestation and declaration ceremony.

The activity formalized support for Provincial Peace and Order Council Resolution No. 4, series of 2025, which reaffirms the province’s SSIPS status, recognizes the Philippine National Police (PNP) as the primary force in stability operations with support from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and implements the PNP–AFP Collaborative Efforts.

Philippine Army 69th Infantry Battalion Commanding Officer LTC Mark Anthony Ruelos said the signing underscored the unified role of security institutions in sustaining peace and order in the province.

On the part of the AFP, and for all uniformed services — the PNP, PCG — our collaborative effort is one way of showing that your soldiers, uniformed services, and security forces are working together to maintain peace in our province so that it will further progress, attract more investors and tourists, and ensure that our people are safe wherever they go),” he said.

Rest assured po na ang inyong AFP, PCG, PNP, with the help of our local chief executive and the local government unit ng probinsya ng Zambales, ay magtutulong-tulong po upang ma-attain ang lasting peace and ma-maintain natin ang katahimikan ng ating probinsya (Rest assured that your AFP, PCG, and PNP, with the help of our local chief executive and the local government unit of the province of Zambales, will work together to attain lasting peace and maintain the tranquility of our province),” Ruelos added.

A detailed attestation was delivered by the Philippine Army, followed by the reading of resolution by Department of the Interior and Local Government Zambales OIC-Provincial Director Melissa Nipal and the joint declaration by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Peace and Order and Public Safety Chairperson Enrico Matibag.

Governor Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. thanked partner agencies and the security sector for their continued cooperation.

Ako’y nagpapasalamat muli sa ating mga kapatid sa PNP, PCG, AFP, DILG, at iba pang ahensya. Sana magtuloy-tuloy na ito, at rest assured na whatever we do, we do it for the people (I extend my thanks once again to our partners in the PNP, PCG, AFP, DILG, and other agencies. I hope this continues, and rest assured that whatever we do, we do it for the people),” he said.

This significant undertaking aims to further strengthen inter-agency collaboration and partnership in sustaining peace, stability, and development efforts across the province.
