
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Ten members of the police assigned at the Pampanga Intelligence Unit are now being investigated for alleged robbery during a “tupada” raid last Wednesday in Bacolor town.
The police were identified as PCpl Resty B. Delima, 33, of Sta. Monica Subd. Bgy. Sto Niño, Plaridel Bulacan; PCpl Jayarr G. Macaraeg, 36, of 503 Bgy. Sanlibo Bayangabang, Pangasinan; PMsg Rommel L. Nool, 37, of Zone 7 Bgy. Parista Lubao, Pampanga; Pat Jhusua T. Fernandez, of Bgy. Dapdap, Mabalacat City, Pampanga; Pat Bryan Steve M. Pasquin, 25, of Bgy. Sto. Niño, San Simon, Pampanga; PCpl Alvin Pastorin, 33, of Bgy. Pogomboa, Aguilar, Pangasinan; Pat Bjay A. Sales, 30, of Bgy. Mabini, Moncada Tarlac; PCpl Norman A. Lazaga, 34, of Bgy. Pindangan Centro, Alcala Pangasinan; Pat Jayson M. Martinez, 28, of Bgy. Dalig Viejo, Burgos Isabela; and Pat Jeff Van D. Cruz, 25, of Bgy. Bonga Mayor, Bustos Bulacan.
A report stated that the cops arrived at the compound of Alberto Gopez in Bgy. Duat, Bacolor town, and accosted 10 men inside for illegal cockfighting, divesting them of their money and other valuables.
The men arrested were complainants Gopez, 58; Allan Yumul Gopez, 32, of Blk. 6, Lot 18, Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando; Angelito Pabalan, 70, of Blk. 81, Lot 12, Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando; Ricardo Canla, 78, of Zone 1, Brgy. Balas, Bacolor; Rodolfo Canlas, 67, of Blk. 12, Lot 28, Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando; Efren Canlas, 63, of Blk. 8, Lot 12, Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando; Jose Mañiago De Leon, 52; of Blk. 82, Lot 4, Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando; Romeo Garcia, 70, of Brgy. Mitla, Porac; Jesus David, 57, of 103 A. Melba St. Mountainview, Balibago, Angeles City; and Mario Sicat, 58, of Brgy. Concepcion, Bacolor.
The complainants said police operatives later released them without giving back their cash money amounting to more or less P379,700 and valuables.
Meanwhile, Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, in a Facebook post, issued a statement:
“Matapos po ang imbestigasyon na aking hiningi ay nagrekomenda po ang Pampanga provincial police ng kasong robbery laban sa 10 pulis na nagsagawa ng sinasabi nilang raid sa isang pribadong bahay sa Bacolor kung saan may tupada raw na nagaganap noong March 19. Nawala po ang P379,700 cash at mga alahas.
“Mali na nga na may tupada. Mali pa rin na may hulidap. Bawal po sa Pampanga ang mga pulis na sangkot sa ganitong insidente.”
