BATAAN – Two young fishermen were arrested in the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl with intellectual disability and her 17-year-old friend in Bataan.
In a report to Bataan police acting director Col. Rommel Velasco, Abucay police commander Allan Salalila said the two victims, along with their mothers, filed the rape complaints against suspects Dominic Engcoy, 19, and Antonio Millares, both fishermen and residents of Lati St., in Bgy. Omboy, Abucay.
The victims told police they were walking home Sunday evening when they saw the two suspects, who were allegedly under the influence of liquor.
The two suspects approached them, covered the victims’ eyes and tightly held their hands and threatened to kill them if they resisted. They then took the two girls to a secluded place and raped them.
Members of the Abucay police conducted a follow up operation which led to the arrest of the two suspects.
The victims were taken to the BGHMC for Medico-Legal Examination while the suspects are now detained at the Abucay jail and will face rape raps.
