ANGELES CITY — The Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) arrested two high-value individuals engaged in the distribution of illegal drugs in the city and nearby areas.
Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. was very thankful to the ACPO led by Colonel Amado Mendoza for its relentless effort to prevent the resurgence of illegal drugs in the city.
Last Saturday, operatives from Police Station 6 confiscated some 70 grams of methampethamine hydrochloride (shabu) after the arrest of two big-time drug pushers during a drug sting at the Riverside Area of Marisol Subdivision in Barangay Ninoy Aquino at around 5 PM of November 11, 2023.
The illegal drugs with a street value of Php476,000 were seized from two high value individuals who were placed in close surveillance by the police for almost two months.
However, the identities of the suspects were with-held by the police as directed by higher-ups from Camp Crame.
Brigadier General Jose Hidalgo Jr., director of Police Regional Office 3 said they have been directed by Camp Crame not to divulge the identities of suspect/suspects caught in buy-bust operations against illegal drugs to protect their rights.
However, Hidalgo said once they were found guilty and convicted by the court of possessing/selling illegal drugs, their names and identifies will be automatically released to the media for consumption.
