CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Three barangays in the province received brand new garbage trucks worth P4,350,000 from the provincial government in ceremonial turn-over rites in front of the Capitol Building here on Monday.
Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the turn-over of the trucks to Barangay San Isidro, Magalang; Barangay Pandaguirig, Floridablanca; and Barangay Atlu-bola, Mabalacat City.
According to Governor Delta, the activity is part of their efforts to intensify the province’s campaign on Ecological Solid Waste Management (ESWM) in the province.

Ferdinand Garcia, barangay councilor, said the trucks will be of great help to their barangay, especially in terms of improving their solid waste management.

“Maraming salamat po, Gov. Delta at Vice Gov. Nanay sa pagdinig ninyo sa hiling naming mga nanunungkulan. Pinapangako po namin na gagamitin namin ito sa mga proyekto ng barangay, lalung-lalo na sa solid waste management,” said Garcia.

Each barangay received P1,450,000 worth of garbage truck aimed at implementing and enforcing the Collection and Hauling of Barangay Waste in compliance with the ESWM.
