3 construction workers, 2 others nabbed in Bataan drug busts

BATAAN – Five drug suspects were nabbed in a series of anti-drug operations by the police here.

Bataan police acting director Col. Romel Velasco said members of the Orani police and PDEA Bataan raided on Sunday a drug den on Montemayor St., Bgy. Kaparangan, Orani Bataan and arrested drug den maintainer Denver Tolentino, 38, a construction worker and resident of Montemayor St., Bgy. Kaparangan , Orani; construction workers Leonardo Medina, 38, of Montemayor St., Bgy. Kaparangan, Orani, and Gene Phillip Canlas, 30, of 120 Buko St. Brgy. Tenejero, Orani, Bataan; and Geneva Ann Tolentino, 24,  of Montemayor St., Bgy. Kaparangan, Orani.

Recovered from the suspects were five plastic sachets containing shabu valued at P102,000, drug paraphernalia, and the  buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, on the same day, members of the Dinalupihan police and the 1st PMFC Bataan PPO, nabbed Melfer Nuqui, 41, of Bgy. San Ramon, Dinalupihan, Bataan, who yielded three plastic sachets of shabu, P500 marked money, a black sling bag containing a .45 pistol loaded with seven live bullets, and a cellular phone.

All arrested suspects will be charged with violations of RA 9165.

Velasco vowed that the Bataan police will continue to conduct campaigns against illegal drugs.
