3,000 TUPAD beneficiaries get salaries from Capitol

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Some 3,000 beneficiaries under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program received their salaries from the provincial government on June 22.

The salary distribution was led by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in this city.

Each beneficiary from the City of San Fernando received P4,200 each through the help of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

The said assistance was given in exchange for the 10-day work they rendered under the TUPAD program.

According to 3rd District Board Member Rosve Henson, the said distribution was delayed from its original date because of election ban and some constraints in the requirements of some beneficiaries of the program.

Governor Delta, meanwhile, expressed his gratitude for the help and support given by the present administration to the province, days before President Rodrigo Duterte ends his term of office.

“Diretso po sa inyo ang programa makasisiguro po kayo na hindi po ito mahahaluan ng pulitika.  Gusto ko rin pong magpasalamat kay Sec. Bello at kay Pangulong Duterte sa pagtulong po sa mga Kapampangan na kailangan ng emergency employment, lalo na noong pandemic,” the governor said.

The TUPAD program provides emergency employment for the displaced, underemployed, and unemployed indigents.
