600 new police recruits take oath of office

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – A total of 600 new police recruits took their oath of office before Police Regional Office 3 director Brigadier General Jose Hidalgo Jr. at the parade grounds here yesterday.

Colonel Rudecindo Reales, PRO3 Deputy Regional Director for Operations, presented the new recruits to Hidalgo. After the oath-taking ceremony, the recruits were all given the rank of patrolman.

The new police personnel were chosen after a stringent screening process conducted by the Regional Screening Committee on Recruitment headed by Brigadier General Enrico Vargas, PRO3 Deputy Regional Director for Administration.

Hidalgo said the new police recruits will further undergo one-year training at the PNP Regional Training Center 3 in Magalang, Pampanga.

“As you take this oath, remember that you are becoming a part of something greater than yourself. You are becoming a guardian, a protector, and a beacon of hope for those who look to law enforcement for safety and justice,” said Hidalgo.
