Former 3-term Mayor and now elected Vice Mayor Nardo Velasco succumbed on Sunday, July 31, while recuperating in a hospital.
This was confirmed by Mayor Catalina Cabrera in a Facebook post.
Velasco, 70, served Sasmuan for 9 years as local chief executive. was elected vice mayor in the recent May 2022 polls. (Marna del Rosario)
