ARAYAT, Pampanga – Repairs being done at the P91.4-million flood control project which collapsed last August 17, 2024 in Barangay Candating here are now at 30 to 40 percent, the Department of Public Works and Highways 1st Engineering District said.
The completion is set until April 2025, the agency added.
According to EDDMARI Construction and Trading, the repair has no additional cost to the government as the project is still under warranty.
Deputy House Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales on Jan. 10 inspected the structure, along with the DPWH.
Last August 17, 2024, 28 families were affected when the control flood project collapsed due to the heavy downpour and strong water current that caused the soil to erode.
