ANGELES CITY – Various trade fairs will be held by the One Town One Product store of the city government here in time for the “ber” season.
This, as Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. wants to continue strengthening the promotion of local products which deserve the spotlight.
“We will fully support our local entrepreneurs to further introduce them not just nationwide but worldwide,” Lazatin said. “Lalo na po ngayon na nalalapit na naman ang Pasko, pwede po ang mga Gawang Angeleño products natin na pang-regalo o souvenir.”
Among the scheduled trade fairs is the “100 Days of Happiness: An Annual Christmas Bazaar” by SM Supermalls on September 16 to December 15, 2022 at the ground level of SM City Clark.
The OTOP store will also have a trade fair during the Philippine’s longest fiesta – Fiestang Kuliat – on October 17 to 26, 2022 at the Museo Ning Angeles, Heritage District.
Further, the OTOP store will also participate in the celebration of Organic Agriculture Month in November, hosting a trade fair from Nov. 21 to 23, 2022 at the Museo Ning Angeles, Heritage District.
Among the inauguration promises of Mayor Lazatin is to revitalize the OTOP and extend avenues to introduce it more to a larger market.
In fact, this year, the OTOP store has installed a new kiosk at the Prime City Hotel, where Gawang Angeleño products are displayed.
To date, there are 21 existing member-merchants in the OTOP store, from its 12 initial member-merchants in 2019.
The OTOP store is being supervised by Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, with Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office led by Irish Bonus-Llego.
Apart from the physical store in Barangay Sto. Rosario, it has two more exhibit-kiosks found at the City Hall’s entrance and exit doors. Its online shop is also available via Shopee and Facebook.
