Bulacan cops arrest 21 law offenders, seize guns, drugs

CAMP GEN ALEJO S SANTOS, Bulacan – Eight drug peddlers, a gun-law offender and  12 illegal gamblers were apprehended, while firearms, ammunition and illegal drugs were recovered in successful police operations in Bulacan on Tuesday.

Bulacan police Col. Relly Arnedo said the drug-bust operation by CSJDM police led to the arrest of suspect Laurente Laido in Sapang Lamig.

Fifteen sachets of shabu were confiscated from him along with the marked money and a .38 revolver loaded with three rounds of ammo.

A series of entrapment operations by the anti-drug operatives of the Bocaue, Malolos City, San Rafael and Bustos police resulted to the arrest of seven suspects identified as Cindy Dela Cruz, Mario Evangelista Jr., Marick Gonzales, Clarence Trinidad, Merry Grace Reyes, Alvin Hernandez, and Marvin Maniquiz.

Recovered from them were 18 sachets of suspected shabu and buy-bust money.

The implementation of a search warrant by the San Ildefonso police led to the arrest of Henry Fajardo, 43, for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition in Bgy. Akle, San Ildefonso, Bulacan.

The suspect yielded a .38 revolver and six live bullets.

Operatives of the Marilao and Meycauayan City police conducted anti-illegal gambling operations which led to the apprehension of six suspects for “pusoy” card game in Marilao and six persons for “color-game” in Meycauayan City. Fighting cocks, gaffs, set of cards, color-game set and bet money were also recovered.

Arnedo vowed the Bulacan police will continue the campaign against all types of criminality in accordance with the PNP chief’s order.
