CLARK FREEPORT – The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) recently inaugurated its P10-million fire station building inside this Freeport, which signifies CDC’s commitment to ensure a safe and stable business operation for all investors in the Freeport.
CDC Chairman Atty. Edgardo D. Pamintuan and CDC President and CEO Manuel R. Gaerlan led the ribbon cutting and blessing ceremony of the said facility, which reinforces the state-owned firm’s safety and security operations.
The facility is a two-storey structure which features seven fire truck bays, staff office, toilet and pantry, storage room, open area, staging area, panic area, and slide pole at the ground floor. Its second floor houses a quarters area with 28 bedding capacity and comfort rooms for both male and female.
“Ito pong mga ganitong infrastructure at facility dito sa Clark Freeport Zone and Clark Special Economic Zone ay napakahalaga, because it adds not only value to Clark Freeport Zone but also it adds confidence and sense of protection para po sa ating mga investors. In CDC, we conduct business with a heart, and we should give the necessary care and protection to our locators not only in our business processes but also in terms of services, particularly public safety services,” Gaerlan added.
For his part, Pamintuan expressed appreciation to all officials and CDC employees for their efforts in the development of the facility. He further stated that the new fire station and fire trucks will help in providing effective and efficient protection services to all Clark stakeholders.
“I would like to thank and congratulate all those who were involved in the construction of this facility. With this facility, we can prevent business disruption and distractions through modern facilities, technology, and equipment such as this. Napakaganda po talagang mag invest at mag business dito sa Clark because you’ll feel safe and secured,” Pamintuan said.
Meanwhile, the inauguration of the fire station building coincided with a blessing ceremony for the CDC fire trucks. According to CDC-PSD, the firetruck procured in 2017 has a water capacity of 2005 gallons, while the other truck, a RosenBauer fire vehicle, has a capacity of 1,500 gallons.
Other CDC officials who were present at the event are CDC Vice President for Security Services Group PBGen. Sheldon Jacaban, CDC Vice President for Engineering Dennis Legaspi, CDC Vice President for Legal Affairs Atty. Josep Jepri Miranda, CDC Vice President for Administration and Finance Mariza Mandocdoc, and CDC Vice President for Business Development and Business Enhancement Group Rynah Ventura.
Mabalacat City Fire Marshall Senior Inspector Shiela Marie Florendo, and Angeles City Fire Marshall Chief Inspector Errick Derro as well as Luzon International Premier Airport Development (LIPAD) President and CEO Bi Yong Chungunco were also in attendance. Rev. Fr. Deogracias Kerr Galang, parish priest of St. Joseph the Worker Chapel 2 in Clark, officiated the blessing of the new facility and the benediction of CDC firefighters.
