City hall employee, cohort yield over P200-K shabu in Angeles City sting

CAMP LT. TOMAS J PEPITO – A city hall employee allegedly in the police drug list and his cohort were arrested in an entrapment in this city on Sunday.

Angeles City police commander Col. Juritz Rara identified the high value target as Elener Menor alias Pinunu, 42, an employee of the  Angeles City LGU, of Bgy. Sta. Trinidad, Angeles City; and his cohort Edgardo Lino alias Tirs, 36, of P. Zamora St., Angeles City.

Rara said joint operatives of CMFC and Police Station 2 led by Lt. Mark Anthony Pangilinan conducted a buy-bust near the Sipag at Tiyaga Gasoline Station in Bgy. Sta. Trinidad, which resulted to the arrest of the two suspects.

Seized from them were seven small plastic sachets of shabu worth at least P205,224; the marked money; and a motorcycle.

The two suspects will be charged with violation of RA 9165.

Rara vowed that the Angeles City Police Office will continue its efforts to eradicate illegal drugs and crimes in the city as directed by PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen.
