CAMP OLIVAS — Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen led the grand launching of “BIDA” or “Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan” program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Saturday at the Pampanga Police Provincial Office, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The BIDA Program is a nationwide anti-illegal drugs advocacy program involving local government units, national government agencies, and other key sectors of society that will focus more on drug demand reduction and rehabilitation in the communities underscoring the role of drug enforcement agencies including the Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, National Bureau of Investigation and others.
Pasiwen said the public is being encouraged to become advocates of its “BIDA” anti-drug program to help put an end to the country’s illegal drugs problem.
“Ang ating pulisya po ay pinahahalagahan ang buhay ng bawat mamamayan, much more value and respect the rights of every person. Sa kabilang banda, kami din po ay patuloy na maglilingkod sa inyo ng may puso at mas lalo pa naming paiigtingin at palalawigin ang aming laban sa lahat ng uri ng kriminalidad upang mapanatili natin ang kaayusan, katahimikan at kaligtasan ng ating mga mamamayan. Ginagawa po namin ang lahat ng aming makakaya tungo sa masigasig at maayos na pagpapatupad ng batas, pagpapanatili sa pagrespeto sa karapatang pantao, at pagsugpo sa lahat ng uri ng kriminalidad at iligal na droga,” Pasiwen said in his message.
The activity was participated in by DILG 3 Assistant Regional Director Jay E. Timbreza, Pampanga DILG Provincial Director Myra Moral-Soriano, personnel of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), 3rd Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB3), Provincial Headquarters, Pampanga Police Provincial Office, San Fernando City Police Station, Pampanga Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Pampanga Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Local Government Unit of San Fernando, KASIMBAYANAN coordinators and members of advocacy support groups and force multipliers.
