MABALACAT CITY – With less than 30 days in the campaign, this re-electionist councilor has been gaining solid ground support, ensuring him a sure return to the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
Councilor Victor “Cocoy” Tiglao II may not even seem like a neophyte, with the way he has been reaping praises on social media as well as personal accounts of people he had helped in his first term.
Not just with his usual outreaches as a medical doctor by profession, but Tiglao has been cited for many other things he has been giving out – medical apparatuses, church building materials and sound system, basketballs and jerseys, school donations and even financial aid.

Facebook is awash with posts expressing gratefulness that cites his kindness.
From one Gerard Dayrit: “For some people, you are no less than God. For some people, you are a source of inspiration. For some people, you are a caring angel. For some people, your kind words are supreme motivation. For some people, you are a ray of hope. For some people, you are a savior. You are more than just a human being…”
One Jennifer Arceo Bermudez, apparently a staff at Dau Elementary School, one of the city’s biggest, cited Tiglao’s donation.
“Thank u so much po keng binye u pong donation para po keng Dau Elementary School Doc Cocoy Tiglao,” she said in a post with photo of the donation with her colleague.
She added #Para sa bata and #Para sa bayan hashtags.

One Datu Ariola posted: “Iboto taya po pasibayo keng May 9, 2022. Tapat at malugud ya keng serbisyu na karapat dapat ya po i boto at ipagpatuloy ing kaya serbisyu masasanting kaya i boto taya pasibayu Doc Cocoy.” (Let us re-elect him on May 9, 2022. He is dedicated and caring and he deserves our votes so he can continue serving)
A lot of other FB comments are not just from individuals but also from groups and organizations, even barangay leaders.

An anesthesiologist and surgeon by profession, Tiglao has been conducting “Operation Tuli”, a tradition and yearly medical outreach conducted for free by his father Dr. Victor Tiglao for many decades. The younger Tiglao has also received accolades for bringing to Mabalacat many of his peer doctors to help out, especially during the pandemic and subsequent vaccination drives.
