Cops nab 4 rob suspects with guns, explosives

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Pampanga police officers on Friday arrested four suspects who were involved in a robbery incident in Guagua town.

In a report to Pampanga police acting director Col. Alvin Consolacion, one of the suspects identified as security guard Rodrigo Olimpo, 37, a native of Negros Occidental, was apprehended in a hot pursuit operation conducted by members of the Guagua police in San Pablo Propio, San Simon town, while cohort Dino Drilon, 31, of Harrizon St., Pasay City, was nabbed at a grassy vacant lot in San Pablo Propio.

Recovered from the suspects were one .38 revolver loaded with six live bullets, two black motorcycles and the stolen cash and jewelry worth at least P635,000.

Meanwhile, the two at-large suspects were nabbed in Bacolor town during a hot pursuit operation launched by elements of the Guagua and Bacolor police along with CIDG Pampanga, PIU, and 1st PMFC Pampanga PPO.

They were identified as Mark Areston and Reynaldo Mendoza, who yielded one loaded .45 pistol, one magazine with five live ammunition, and one black sling bag containing one hand fragmentation grenade and one .22 revolver loaded with four bullets.

All the suspects are now under the custody of the Guagua police and will be charged with robbery, violation of election gun ban and illegal possessions of guns, ammunition and explosives.
