MABALACAT CITY — The Digital Transformation Center-Innovation Hub project here broke ground on December 18, 2023 at the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) Pampanga Provincial Office at Dau Homesite Subdivision in this city.
City Mayor Crisostomo C. Garbo joined the groundbreaking ceremony of the project, considered as a significant milestone for DICT Region-3.
During the event, Architect Aristotle Go presented the overview of the project.
The project is also supported by stakeholders Jeffrey Ian Dy, Undersecretary for Connectivity, Cybersecurity and Upskilling, DICT; Mideki Kagohashi, Enterprise Development Specialist, ILO Country Office of the Philippines; Chihiro Kanno, First Secretary and Labour Attache, Embassy of Japan Representative; and representatives of Advance Matrix Construction, Inc.
The DICT is mandated to be the primary policy, planning, coordinating, implementing, and administrative entity of the Executive Branch of the government that will plan, develop, and promote the National Information and Communication Technology development agenda. It envisions a Philippines that is innovative, safe, and thriving through and is enabled by ICT.
