DOT Sec Frasco visits Tarlac

Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco, along with foreign delegates and guests, visited Tarlac as part of their promotional tour recently.

The tour, themed “Experience Central Luzon, Experience Paskong Pinoy,” is a three-day trip that promoted the tourism of the provinces of Tarlac, Bataan, Pampanga and Bulacan and the Subic Bay Area.

Governor Susan Yap welcomed Frasco to the provincial capitol and were toured at the Diwa ng Tarlac and Maria Christina Park. Local delicacies and artworks were likewise showcased and a sneak peek of Tarlac culture and traditions was presented to the secretary.

“Allow us, here in Tarlac, to share this spirit of Paskong Pilipino with you. We invite you to visit Tarlac’s civic center and come to know more about our rich heritage and Traditions,” Gov. Yap said.

“Patuloy nating ipinagmamalaki ang yaman ng kulturang Pilipino at turismo ng Tarlac. Love Tarlac, love Central Luzon, and love the Philippines,” Gov. Yap added.

Frasco, for her part, said that Tarlac’s traditions give more meaning to, and reasons for, why Christmas is loved by Filipinos and tourists during the season.

“Here in Tarlac, your rich family oriented traditions and values give more meaning and reason why Filipino Christmas is beloved not only by our fellow Filipinos but also tourists,” Frasco said.

“Dakal a salamat, thank you for the warm welcome and for joining us. Let us continue to love our country, our traditions, festivals, food, and everything that our destinations have to offer. Love Tarlac and love Philippines,” Frasco added.
