ANGELES CITY — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a 788-meter road rehabilitation project at barangay San Ildefonso in Magalang, Pampanga.
The two-lane David Road underwent improvements to enhance accessibility and ensure safer travel by paving its 0.5-meter shoulders on each side, thereby widening it to six meters.
DPWH Pampanga 3rd OIC District Engineer Arnold Ocampo said the rehabilitation project aims to enhance local connectivity and promote safe and efficient transportation for the community.
In line with the recently constructed Sto. Niño and San Ildefonso Bridges, it takes on a pivotal role in establishing a smooth travel experience for motorists commuting between the two barangays.
“The rehabilitation of roads, such as David Road, is essential in providing a structured and convenient road network for our people. By improving these roads, we can also help facilitate economic growth and development across the region,” Ocampo emphasized.
About P19.75 million was earmarked for the project.
