CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – GO Negosyo partnered with the Provincial Government of Pampanga to support micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through the on-wheels mentorship program called “3M on Wheels”.
The Provincial Government of Pampanga provided mentees for the program, with around 300-400 participants in attendance. The partnership aimed to equip active and aspiring entrepreneurs from Pampanga with essential entrepreneurship skills.
On behalf of Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Executive Assistant IV to the Office of the Governor, Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, alongside Board Members Atty. Ananias Canlas Jr. and Cherry Manalo, extended their full support to the event at the SM City Pampanga Event Center on Saturday, June 8.
Cayabyab highlighted the provincial government’s commitment to fostering economic growth and development.
“Hindi lang tayo dapat nakatutok sa mga malalaking investors, itong mga maliliit na negosyong ito kapag pinagsama-sama mo malaki ang tulong nila sa ekonomiya at employment. Kaya sinusuportahan ko talaga ang mga ganitong klaseng negosyo na tunay na nagpapaganda ng ating ekonomiya,” Cayabyab said.
She also revealed that the provincial government is set to sign a memorandum of agreement with Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAMCHAM) to provide P40 million support for MSMEs.
“Sa July 11 magkakaroon ng MOA ang Pampanga Chamber of commerce at provincial government headed by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda at magkakaroon tayo ng pondo worth P40 million para sa pagsuporta sa mga maliliit nating mga negosyante,” she said.
3M On Wheels, previously known as Mentor ME on Wheels, was reintroduced in April 2022. The initiative aims to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with valuable mentorship, resources, and support to help them succeed in their business endeavors and fill the learning gap in their entrepreneurial journey as MSMEs.
“Ang goal po namin talaga ay dalhin ang mentorship na ito sa mas malapit sa mga tao kaya napakalaking role po netong assistance na ibinigay ng provincial government,” said Thermina Akram, Go Negosyo Executive Director.
With assistance from GO Negosyo mentors and officials from DTI and PAMCHAM, participants engaged in personalized coaching sessions. Successful entrepreneurs shared insights to inspire and assist aspiring entrepreneurs.
As of date, 3M on Wheels has successfully mentored more than 10,000 entrepreneurs across the Philippines since its relaunch in April 2022.
