CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Gov. Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda strongly condemned the senseless killing of Barangay Alasas captain Alvin Mendoza, who is running as city councilor in the May 9, 2022 elections.
“Nakikiramay po ako sa mga kapamilya, kaibigan at kabaryo ni Kapitan Alvin Mendoza ng Barangay Alasas,” Pineda said.
According to the Governor, he has asked the Philippine National Police (PNP), through PD Col. Alvin Consolacion, to investigate the killing.
“I learned he was shot as he drove for his family at past 6 a.m. on Saturday in the vicinity of a residential subdivision. I thank God that members of his family are safe,” he said.
Pineda said the investigation should conclude with the mastermind and killers identified and charged.
“I am deeply concerned this happened after still unidentified assassins killed Barangay Captain Rainer “Balot” Asban of Sto. Niño in Guagua town last January in a gasoline station there,” he noted.
Former Barangay Concepcion Capt. Rogelio “Jonjon” Salvador, candidate for councilor in San Simon town, was killed in an ambush in November 2021. The attack also killed his driver-cousin Joel Salvador and friend Arnel Caparas.
