CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The provincial government extended assistance to 7,055 students under the Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP) on Wednesday, September 6.
Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, alongside 2nd District Board Member Fritzie David Dizon and Pampanga Councilors League (PCL) President and Board Member Cherry Manalo, distributed checks to beneficiaries at the Bren Z Guiao Convention Center. Each recipient received P4,000.
Governor Delta emphasized the importance of education in ensuring a promising future for the students.
“Magaral kayung masalese. Pagsumikapan yu para keng future yu. Eyu pabren na ekayu magraduate. Tandanan yu, parati kami mu makaantable kekayu,” the Governor conveyed.
Governor Delta also expressed gratitude to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, led by Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, for their unwavering support to the administration’s educational programs.
He added, “Pasalamatan tala reng Board Members yu, ri Nanay. Ilang mamye approval kareng anyaran kung budget. Ali tamu magkasakit manikwang budget para kekayu uli ra.”
Beneficiaries like Kyla and Jan Rey Santos, a couple from City of San Fernando who became parents at an early age, expressed their appreciation for the program. Despite the challenges of parenthood, they found hope through EFAP, enabling them to pursue their degrees.
“Pangarap po ng parents ko na makapagtapos po ako kaya tinuloy ko po. Kaya sobrang laking tulong po nitong programa ni Gov para sa amin,” Kyla said.
According to data from the Provincial Library, more than 2,500 out of the 7,055 scholars have successfully graduated from college through the help of the program.
Also present during the distribution were Special Assistant to the Governor and PDRRM Chief Angelina Blanco, Magalang Mayor Malu Lacson, and Provincial Librarian Jasmine Cordero.
