Gov sends off 29 vehicles to aid Abra quake victims

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda on Tuesday sent off 29 vehicles to personally hand over Kapampangan aid to the victims of the 7-magnitude earthquake in Abra last July 27, 2022.

Pineda, along with personnel of the
Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Provincial General Services Office (PGSO) and 29 vehicles including dump trucks, wing van, water tanker, and mobile kitchen motored to Abra to distribute 20,000 food packs, water and rice donated by Kapampangans.

According to Pineda, the aid came from his kabalens as their way of giving back to those who helped the province from the devastation of lahar in 1991 brought about by the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo.

The Governor along with Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco, PDRRM Chief Angelina Blanco, other social workers and volunteers of PDY Ventures Inc. will motor to Abra for the distribution of the assistance to the earthquake victims.
