ANGELES CITY – A personnel of SM City Clark’s Job Clean Services will be honored for turning over a small black bag containing ID, personal items, and P101,786 in cash that she discovered in the second level comfort room near the Mall Clinic.
Valerie Sunshine Gomez recalled that there was a long queue in the women’s restroom when she observed a customer getting frantic. She offered the customer to use the All Gender Comfort Room instead and returned to her regular routine.
Gomez said she conducted her usual rounds at the end of the shift to make sure everything was in order, when she saw a black bag in one of the cubicles. She immediately turned it over to the Customer Relations Security Office for inspection and safekeeping.
Employees of SM have made it a habit to do good deeds, notably returning missing items. This and other activities demonstrate SM employees’ dedication to the company’s corporate ideal of honesty and integrity.
The commendable act of a maintenance personnel is a testament to the popular saying, “Integrity is doing the right thing when no one is watching,” according to its officials.
