Lazatin to give school supplies to 2,213 Day Care students, food packs for parents

ANGELES CITY — Some 2,213 Day Care students will receive new school supplies from the city government here including shoes, T-shirt, and bags with notebooks and pencils, while their parents will receive grocery packs which include five kilos of rice and canned goods.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. will lead the distribution to the 76 Day Care centers beginning on January 9, 2023, which will kick-off in Barangays Sto. Domingo and San Jose. Distribution in the remaining barangays will be via schedule.

To join Mayor Lazatin in the distribution are the City Nutrition Office headed by Jermaine Jam Aguila and Gender and Development Officer Mina Cabiles.

Calaguas furthered that the administration of Mayor Lazatin will remain true to its promise of providing free and quality education to the Day Care centers.

To recall, Mayor Lazatin distributed the school supplies to all the public elementary, junior, and senior high schools, benefitting 93,053 students.

This is the first in the city as well in the Pampanga province that a local government unit had distributed school supplies.

Day Care students,” City Social Welfare and Development Officer Edna Duaso said.

Present during a meeting in preparation for the activities are Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, City Social Welfare and Development Officer (CSWDO) Edna Duaso, CSWDO Admin Head Chrysalene Cunanan, Aguila, Cabiles, City Engineer Donato Dizon, General Services Office Head Evangeline Malonzo, and Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office Head Irish Bonus-Llego.
