The City of Mabalacat has again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to good governance and service excellence by clinching the esteemed Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) at the 2023 Gawad Timpukan Awards.
The award was presented to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Mabalacat City during a ceremony held on December 19, 2023, at the Widus Hotel, Clark Freeport.
Mabalacat City emerged as one of the 84 passers of the SGLG, a testament to the city’s dedication to upholding the highest standards of governance, transparency, and effective delivery of public services.
This underscores Mabalacat’s role in advancing the welfare and well-being of its constituents, as well as its exemplary performance in various key areas of local governance.
The city was awarded a P2.3-million cheque from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
The Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) serves as a fitting recognition of Mabalacat City’s exceptional accomplishments in promoting good governance and fostering positive development within the community.
“We are immensely proud to receive this esteemed accolade, which serves as a testament to our unwavering dedication to advancing the welfare of our constituents and upholding the principles of good governance,” Mayor Crisostomo said.
MCG added, “This achievement would not have been possible without the collective efforts of our hardworking public servants and the steadfast support of our community. It inspires us to continue striving for excellence and further elevate the standards of public service in Mabalacat City.”
