MAGALANG, Pampanga – Mayor Maria Lourdes “Malu” Paras Lacson led the inauguration and blessing of the activity center and gymnasium here on February 29.
She was joined by Pampanga First District Rep. Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin, Councilor Norman Lacson and other officials.
“Under the visionary leadership of Hon. Mayor Maria Lourdes P. Lacson, this gymnasium underwent a transformative renovation in 2024. This historic revitalization project exemplifies the local government’s commitment to the prosperity and empowerment of the Magalenlños especially the youth,” reads the marker near the entrance of
the Bren Z. Guiao Sports Center (Magalang Gymnasium).
“Funded by the district office of Hon. Congressman Carmelo Lazatin II with the support of Hon. Gov. Dennis G. Pineda, the renovated landmark symbolizes our dedication to better infrastructure, community growth, and citizen welfare,” it added.
The gymnasium is fully airconditioned and has a wooden baseketball court. It is located at Barangay San Nicolas II.
Located in Barangay San Nicolas I and in front of the municipal hall, the activity center is basically a playground for children and a recreation area for adult persons.
“Inaugurated in dedication to the development of the Magaleño youth and the welfare of our elderly, this activity center stands as a testament to unity, growth and progress. May it always serve as a beacon of inspiration and empowerment for generations to come,” reads
the marker at the activity center.
The activity center was funded through the development fund of the local government unit.
