VG Nanay asks women: Be vigilant of your health

In celebration of Women’s Month, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda reminded women to be extra vigilant, especially when it comes to their health.

During a visit to Barangay Telabastagan, she emphasized the importance of women’s health and highlighted common diseases that affect women, such as breast cancer, myoma, and kidney stones.

Vice Governor Pineda urged women not to take their health for granted and to seek medical attention immediately if they experience any unusual symptoms. She also reminded them of the free services offered by the Alagang Nanay Preventive Health Care Program, including free ultrasound and consultation to detect and prevent abnormalities in the body.

In addition to the health services, the provincial government also distributed cash assistance and food packs to 2,447 residents of the barangay.

The event was attended by Governor Dennis Pineda, Board Member Jun Canlas, former Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, City Vice Mayor BJ Lagman, PSWD Officer Fe Manarang, and personnel from PDRRMO, PSWDO, PTO, and GSO.
