Over P18-M cocaine intercepted in CRK

CLARK FREEPORT — At least 3,468 grams of cocaine worth P18,380,40 were seized from a  South American upon arrival at the Clark Airport on May 24.

The PDEA Clark identified the suspect as Renaldo Wilfred Oliviera, 48, a Surinamese national.

Olivieira arrived at Clark on a United Arab Emirates Flight around 6:31 PM and was arrested at 7:44 PM for attempting to smuggle the illegal substances.

The PDEA said the illegal drugs were found inside Olivieira’s luggage and were concealed inside his jackets.

Some 30 vacuum-sealed transparent packages wrapped in mesh cloth and blue carbon paper containing cocaine were recovered from Olivieira’s possession.

The successful operation was jointly conducted by operatives led by PDEA Clark Inter Agency Drug Interdiction Unit, PDEA Region III, PDEA Region 7, PDEA ICFAS, Bureau of Customs Port of Clark, Bureau of Immigration, NBI Pampanga District Office and PNP Aviation Security Unit 3.
