P408-M shabu in tea bags seized in Bulacan sting

MARILAO, Bulacan – A big-time drug trader involved in the bulk distribution of illegal drugs in Metro Manila and nearby provinces of Central Luzon yielded 60 kilos of shabu amounting to P408 million in an entrapment on Wednesday.

Authorities identified the suspect as Jalon Supe Laureta, a resident of Daisy St., Green Valle Molino II, Bacoor, Cavite. He was nabbed in an operation at Km 23 on NLEX, Barangay Lias, Marilao town.

The entrapment operation was conducted by agents of PDEA Central Luzon, PDEA Intelligence and Investigation Service (IIS), PDEA NCR, PDEA SES, Team ISAF, PDEG, NICA, PRO-3 and Marilao MPS. Seized from Laureta were at least 60 kilos of shabu wrapped in Chinese tea bags valued at P408,000,000; a Toyota Altis (XPS 112), three cellphones and several identification cards.

Laureta will be charged with violation of section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of RA 9165.
