P9.7-M marijuana seized in Bulacan, 2 nabbed

CAMP OLIVAS – Two (2) suspected drug peddlers were arrested while nearly P10 million worth of marijuana were seized during an anti-illegal drug operation in Bulacan on September 4.

As Central Luzon cops continue its intensified campaign against illegal drugs, PRO3 Regional Director PBGen. Cesar R Pasiwan said operatives of Balagtas MPS conducted an anti-illegal drug operation at Brgy. Santol, Balagtas, Bulacan which resulted to the arrest of Mark Lambert Bhobe y Guinto, 31, of Meycuayan, Bulacan and Angelo Llgas, 27, of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

Seized from the duo were 81 pieces of suspected dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops wrapped in transparent plastic placed inside 3 pieces of sacks weighing approximately 81 kilograms, with a DDB value of Php9,720,000, and P5,000 in marked money.

Appropriate charges for violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11, Art II of RA 9165 are being readied against the suspects for court referral.

PBGen. Pasiwen lauded the operating troops and stated that with the constant arrest and neutralization of illegal drug personalities as well as the unremitting commitment of Central Luzon police force to stop its proliferation, illegal drug traders will have less opportunity to carry out their nefarious activities in line with the M+K+K= K of PNP Chief PGen.
