PDEA, BOC Clark intercept ₱7.6M in party drugs

CLARK – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Central Luzon confiscated some 4,491 pieces of party drug tablets known as ecstasy during an interdiction operation at the Bureau of Customs – Port of Clark on April 2.

PDEA Regional Director Jigger B. Montallana said the illegal drugs were sent from Belgium and arrived at the Port of Clark on March 29, 2025.

Acting on information from the PDEA International Cooperation and Foreign Affairs Service (ICFAS) that a certain parcel from Belgium will arrive at Port of Clark, the PDEA regional office in Central Luzon immediately launched an interdiction operation which led to the seizure of the illegal contraband.

In the presence of PDEA officials and other witnesses, the Bureau of Customs – Port of Clark examined the package containing the ecstasy. Field test yielded positive results.

The seized illegal drugs were taken to the Central Luzon PDEA laboratory in Barangay Maimpis, City of San Fernando for forensic examination.

The Pampanga District Office of National Bureau of Investigation, PNP Aviation Security Unit 3, PDEA Intelligence Service And PDEA SES K-9 Unit were also present during the operation.
