The Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC) will have a new president and CEO before the end of the month, in the person of former Clark International Airport Corporation PCEO Arrey Perez.
Perez, who will succeed outgoing PCEO Rogelio Singson, vows to steer MPTC by focusing on customer-centric improvements and expanding the company’s portfolio.
Singson is set to assume a new role at the company’s water business.
In a statement, Perez said the transition into his new position will be finished within this month, after the necessary orientation.
Perez said their priority will be to enhance 5-star customer service, “ensuring that our tollway systems are not only safer but also more convenient for all road users.”
MPTC handles the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark Expressway (SCTEX), and the Manila-Cavite Expressway, among others.
Perez said that under his leadership, MPTC will continue to prioritize the tollways’ safety and service quality, while including digital transformation and mobility solutions.
It recently launched MPT DriveHub, a mobile app for tollway users, and created two new business units—MPT Data Services Inc. and MPT Mobility.
MPT Data Services will focus on internal and external digital transformation, using data analytics to drive insights and support MPTC’s operations, while MPT Mobility will oversee a range of services aimed at improving the mobility experience, from Easytrip Services Corp., which handles tollway accounts, to innovative parking solutions from Dibz and various customer engagement platforms like One Hub.
MPTC also extended its reach into Southeast Asia, holding investments in Indonesia’s PT Nusantara, a diversified infrastructure company, and in Vietnam’s CII Bridges & Roads Investment Joint Stock Company.
