SSS transactions, services now online

ANGELES CITY – Officials of the Social Security System bared that they have sped up digitalization efforts to provide assistance to its members during the pandemic.

SSS VP for Luzon Central 2 Gloria Andrada told the media during PPC’s News@Hues at Park Inn Radisson by Clark that almost all their transactions and services are now online.

“Members can now file for benefits and salary loans online,” she said.

Only the processing for death benefits cannot be filed online, as enhancements are still being made.

Those who lost employment because of the pandemic may also file for unemployment benefits online, Andrada said.

Making it easier for employers and individual members to make payments are additional partners like GCash, Shopee Pay, partner banks and collecting agents.

Meanwhile, SSS Angeles City branch head Normita Cruz said the pension loan can also be filed online.

“Initial application used to be done over the counter, but now they can do this online,” she said.
