Suspected drug pusher killed in Tarlac sting

CAMP OLIVAS — A suspected drug peddler was killed in a drug-bust on Sunday in Tarlac, police said.

Tarlac police director Col. Renante Cabico said his men conducted an entrapment on Bypass Road, Bgy. Tariji, Tarlac City which led to the killing of drug target Jonah Liporada, 26, of Burol III, Dasmarinas City, Cavite. His cohort, meanwhile, escaped aboard a plateless  motorcycle.

Cabico said Liporada yielded a loaded .38 pistol, six fired cartridge cases, five bullets, six plastic sachets containing shabu worth P363,800, two P1,000 marked bills and boodle money.

PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon vowed to continue to launch operations to wipe out illegal drugs in the region.
