Texas Instruments launches project to empower Filipino youth

Texas Instruments (TI) Philippines successfully launched the 2024 Building Stronger Communities Project, a collaborative initiative between TI Philippines and the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST) with exciting developments set to further empower Filipino children and youth through targeted capacity-building programs.

“The project prioritizes critical areas such as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education, disaster risk reduction and management, and career readiness as we aim to impart enduring values and knowledge across communities where TI operates,” Parthiben Kumaran, managing director of TI’s Baguio site said.

Rolled out in Baguio City and the Pampanga region were key programs such as Master of Disaster, Career Engine, and i2Can STEM. TI volunteers played pivotal roles in actively engaging with communities to nurture talent, enhance resilience, and foster purpose among Filipino youth.

Country manager TH Chen said TI has always worked to be a great neighbor to our communities.

“We want to drive positive change and empower the next generation in Baguio City and Clark, Pampanga,” he said.
