191 Angeleños get wheelchairs from city government

ANGELES CITY — The city government here continues to provide wheelchairs as assistance to senior citizens and differently-abled individuals.

To date, a total of 191 wheelchairs have been handed over to the beneficiaries, of which 116 are senior citizens and 75 are differently-abled individuals.

Alicia Maniago-Zamora, sister of Noel Maniago who suffered a stroke patient and wheelchair recipient, expressed how grateful they are for the assistance provided by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr.

The wheelchair assistance program is spearheaded by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), led by Edna Duaso.

Angeles City residents who want to be listed as beneficiaries must present a barangay indigency certificate, photocopy of ID, personal letter, and contact number.

They also must be willing to undergo assessment and home visitation to confirm their eligibility as a beneficiary.
