CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — After the 33-ton weight limit was implemented at the NLEX Candaba Viaduct, the anti-overloading campaign is now spreading to the adjacent areas covered by the rerouting.
These areas also want to protect their roads, bridges and canals in support of the campaign.
In view of this, a trial weighing was conducted in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija.

The activity was led by San Miguel, Bulacan police chief Lt. Col. Jayson San Pedro, San Miguel MPS Chief and Engr. Ma. Cecilia R. Dela Mines and DPWH Regional Maintenance Engineer Rodolfo David at the Anti-Truck Overloading Mobile Enforcement (ATOME) station of the DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office in the City of Gapan on Wednesday, Aug. 17.
Of the seven trucks that underwent weighing, six were found overloaded.
“Sana po ay magtuloy-tuloy itong kampanya kontra overloading campaign para ligtas ang taumbayan at maayos ang ating mga kalsada at tulay,” Gov. Dennis Pineda said.
