Thirty-six teams joined the opening of the DBM Gonzales-Delta Cup over the week that aims to bring young basketball talents to the City of San Fernando for a city-wide sporting contest.

He added that the games are aimed at promoting camaraderie and sportsmanship among the young players of the city as well as providing for the possible discovery of new basketball talents that can help represent the province in national sporting competitions.
The Gonzales family and Governor Pineda funded the prizes from P100,000 for the champion; P80,000 for second place; and P60,000 for third place, among other prizes and incentives.
