ZAMBALES – Three persons drowned while two are still missing when big waves caught them while swimming in a beach in San Antonio town here.
San Antonio police chief Lt. Darren Ganotan identified the fatalities as Wendell dela Cruz, 24; Aizher de Leon, 15; and Aeron de Leon, 15; while those still missing are Ashley dela Cruz, 15; and Ederson Canbral, 36. They were all residents of Bgy. Frances, Calumpit, Bulacan.
Police were told the victims went swimming at a beach in Purok 6, Bgy. San Miguel, San Antonio when big waves hit them.
Some residents in the area helped rescue three of the victims using their bancas while members of the Philippine Coast Guard are still looking for the other two.
