Capitol holds 1st-ever Ligligan Pamandukit

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The first-ever Ligligan Pamandukit competition kicked off at the provincial Capitol on Dec. 8 as part of the 451st Aldo Ning Kapampangan Celebration.

Dubbed “Lugud: Tutung Sikanan Ning Kapampangan”, the competition organized by 2nd District Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab aims to boost, promote and keep the locals’ sculpting or dukit skills alive.

Along with Cayabyab, MOKA awardee and Eclessiastical Art icon WIlly Layug and Arts, Culture, and Tourism Office of Pampanga (ACTOP) officer Randy Del Rosario spearheaded the provincewide on-the-spot sculpture-making competition.

Ten local artists from Betis, Guagua, Apalit and Bacolor participated in the event.

The lady board member personally sponsored the prizes worth P100,000 and other collaterals.

Second District Board Member Fritzie David-Dizon also joined the ceremonial kick-off of the dukit competition.
