DPWH completes infra project along Gumain-Porac Diversion Channel

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a P29.39-million infrastructure project along the Gumain-Porac Diversion Channel (GPDC), implemented by DPWH Pampanga 2nd District Engineering Office.

District Engineer Gregorio Audea Jr. disclosed that the project consists of 100-linear meter rehabilitation of slope protection and concreting of the 600-linear meter section of the road dike.

The project that was implemented in the San Pablo-Sta. Rita section of the diversion channel in Lubao.

“Not only will residents feel safer from flooding when areas near the GPDC experience heavy rainfall, but commuters and motorists will be able to travel more conveniently with its completion,” Audea said.

The road dike, which is an alternate road going to barangay Sta. Rita Lurang, is connected to the Lubao Bypass Road.
