The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) of Mabalacat City received the Gawad Kalasag Seal of Excellence from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) for its outstanding commitment to disaster risk reduction and management.
The Gawad Kalasag Awards, an annual recognition program organized by the NDRRMC, aims to acknowledge the remarkable efforts of local government units and organizations in implementing effective disaster risk reduction and management practices. The Seal of Excellence is the highest distinction bestowed by the NDRRMC, recognizing outstanding performance and full compliance with the standards set for the city category.
Mayor Crisostomo Garbo expressed his pride and gratitude for the CDRRMO’s achievement, stating, “We are honored to receive the Gawad Kalasag Seal of Excellence, as it validates the hard work and dedication of our CDRRMO in safeguarding the welfare of our constituents. This recognition inspires us to further enhance our disaster risk reduction and management initiatives and reinforces our commitment to building a safer and more resilient Mabalacat City.”
The award ceremony, which took place at The Manila Hotel, was attended by representatives of the CDRRMO headed by Jeffrey Santos and team members.
