Mayor doubles subsidies for 10 GLF participants

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Mayor Vilma B. Caluag disclosed that the city government doubled the subsidies for the participants of the Giant Lantern Festival (GLF) 2022.

Caluag said the subsidy was increased from P150,000 to P300,000 for every participant. She added that the grand prize was also doubled from P150,000 to P300,000.

There are 10 barangays participating in the GLF 2022. They are Bulaon, Calulut, Del Pilar, Dolores, Pandaras, San Juan, San Nicolas, Sta. Lucia, Sto. Nino and Telabastagan.

The GLF 2022 will be held at the Robinsons Starmills on December 17.

On Friday, the lighting of the Christmas tree and decorations was held at the Robinson Starmills. It was attended by Caluag, Vice Mayor BJ Lagman, Robinson Malls regional manager Jonathan Chua, barangay captains and lantern makers of the 10 participants of the GLF 2022.
