FLORIDABLANCA, Pampanga – The Philippine Air Force has made history for having the very first Female Fighter Pilot from the 5th Fighter Wing at Basa Air Base in this town.
1LT Jul Laiza Mae B Camposano-Beran PAF is the first female AS-211 combat mission ready pilot and wingman, according to the PAF.
A native of Tulunan, Cotabato, she is a member of the Philippine Military Academy SINAGLAHI Class of 2015 and became the 5th female in the academy to receive the Athletic Saber Award over 170 members of her class.
She graduated from Military Pilot Training in 2017 from the Philippine Air Force Flying School.
The Philippine Air Force joins in recognizing the significant role of women in the organization and in society as the nation celebrated the National Women’s Month last March.
