CLARK FREEPORT – The MPTC Tour of Luzon just got more exciting after its “avid supporter” upped the ante – a ₱1-million prize for the 1st place winner in the Individual Category.
Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. chairman Manny V. Pangilinan decided to increase the value of the prizes – from his own pocket – after seeing the ongoing success of what has been dubbed as “The Great Revival”.
Aside from increasing the first prize to ₱1 million from ₱500,000, MVP also added to the prizes of the 2nd to 10th place winners.
Second place prize is now ₱500,000 from ₱400,000; 3rd place prize ₱350,000 from ₱300,000; 4th place prize is now ₱220,000; 5th place prize ₱120,000; 6th place prize ₱100,000; 7th place prize ₱90,000; 8th place prize ₱80,000; 9th place prize ₱70,000; and 10th place prize ₱60,000.

MPTC Chief Regulatory Officer Arrey Perez and DuckWorld PH chairman Patrick “Pato” Gregorio made the announcement during the Media and VIP Night held at the Hilton Grand Ballroom on April 28.

According to Perez and Gregorio, MVP has been intently watching developments of the Tour of Luzon since Day One.
